Mitte chocolate

The chocolates used for Preußisch süß are made from certified organic, expressive Trinitario fine flavoured cocoa as well as the original, finely aromatic Hispaniola fine flavoured cocoa variety from the Dominican Republic. Fair Trade certified is purchased directly from selected small cooperatives that cultivate their cocoa trees in organic farming. This ensures sustainable and quality-oriented cultivation as well as professional fermentation.

The cocoa is therefore paid far above the usual market price. In addition, the organic family farms are supported by a long-term cooperation and by the purchase of fixed annual harvest quantities. Regular visits have shown that there is no child labor in the cooperatives.
